January was a strong month for CRH Medical as we moved ahead with a number of shareholder value-building initiatives.

Commercial update

CRH’s Clinical Sales Support Program continued to make steady progress in January. Our dedicated representatives in Miami, Atlanta, San Antonio/Houston and Dallas continue to build relationships with GI practices already trained on the CRH O’Regan System, and introduce the technology to new practices.

Also on the commercial front, one of CRH’s valued customers – Gastrointestinal Associates (GIA) in Knoxville, Tennessee – published an article on the positive financial outcome that our marketing support had on its practice.
GIA initiated an advertising campaign over a three-month period in 2012 that consisted of television commercials and print ads. The commercials ran approximately 25 times per week over 12 weeks on local ABC, NBC, FOX and CBS affiliates. The local newspaper ad ran seven times over the same 12-week period. CRH Medical provided GIA with the customized commercials and print ads used throughout the run.

The article, which can be viewed by clicking the link below, concluded that the GI clinic’s return on investment was excellent: GIA spent US$30,000 on the campaign, including media and placement costs, and earned total net revenue of approximately US$90,000 over the course of the three-month campaign.


This marketing support is an example of the added value CRH provides our clients and it’s one of the ways that we are building our profile with the GI community.

The CRH O’Regan System in the Gastroenterology & Endoscopy News

Earlier in the month, well respected gastroenterologist (and CRH Medical customer) Dr. Harry Sarles Jr. authored an article that ran in the January edition of the popular GI publication Gastroenterology & Endoscopy News. The article outlines the treatment methods available for patients with hemorrhoids and cites the O’Regan System as a preferred method of treatment.

GI conferences in January

In continuing to build awareness within the GI community, CRH attended two regional conferences in January. The AGA-ASGE Clinical Congress was held in San Diego, CA between January 17-19. This was our first year attending the meeting, and after spending three days exhibiting, it proved to be quite a meaningful conference.

In addition to the conversations with both new and already trained physicians, the show featured a hands-on session for educational credits. In one of these sessions, the CRH O’Regan System was demonstrated as the treatment of choice for hemorrhoids, which created notable interest with many of the participating physicians.

The following weekend, January 25-27, we attended the ACG Western Regional Meeting in Los Angeles, CA. As a result, we generated a number of very qualified customer leads. We also had the opportunity to speak with several trained physicians regarding increasing usage of the O’Regan System within their own practices.

Toronto/Montreal marketing in February

In February, we plan on being in Toronto and Montreal on a two-day, non-deal roadshow to raise CRH’s profile with the buy and sell side in both cities.

Over the past few quarters, Toronto has been a productive city for us as a number of investors have taken ownership positions in the Company. Montreal has traditionally been a strong supporter of healthcare stories so we are looking forward to introducing CRH Medical to the financial community there.
